The Child and Student Health service has the primary task of supporting schools in their health-promoting and preventive work.

We are now looking for a school psychologist with a psychological leadership responsibility for the Child and Student Health service, Learning Sector, Ulricehamn Municipality. As the psychological leader, you will be part of the central student health team, which also includes special educators, a medically responsible person, and a coordinating counselor. You report directly to the unit manager for child and student health. As a school psychologist, you will be centrally located. The position is a permanent employment at 100% full-time. 40% of your position consists of tasks related to your role as a psychologist with leadership responsibility for the psychological intervention of the student health service, while 60% of the position is allocated as a school psychologist.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the psychological leader, you will have overall responsibility for the psychological intervention within the student health service in the municipality. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): working with deviation management, reviewing incoming psychological assessments for potential admission to adapted primary school, and ensuring that we work according to established processes and routines in a patient-safe manner. As we are developing our psychological services (we have previously hired school psychologists and PLA), it will be part of your primary tasks to build up the psychological service with management systems, methodological support, structures, routines, and guidelines. You will do this full-time for the first few months. We intend to recruit at least one full-time school psychologist in the fall, and you will be involved in that process. In the fall, your tasks will include introducing the new school psychologist, providing guidance, and being a support and mentor for the school psychologist and other student health staff. You will also be a knowledge resource for school management and principals and contribute to school development, systematic student health work, and improved support for students with special needs. Participating in professional development, networking, and quality assurance of student health interventions will also be part of your responsibilities.

The work as a school psychologist at 60% is varied and will involve consultative and investigative assignments. We always focus on the educational mission and work advisory towards educators and other professionals within the school. In your work, you primarily work preventively and health-promoting, guide staff, and convey knowledge to guardians, as well as work at the remedial level when needed. You will be part of the schools' student health teams where the principal leads and distributes the work.

We want you to develop in your profession. We offer you training in the health and medical leadership of the student health service. In addition, we will further discuss your development needs and any need for external supervision. QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has had a Swedish psychologist license for at least 5 years. You have formal supervision competence and have worked as a school psychologist for at least 5 years. Leading processes and educational initiatives at group and organizational levels is something you already do today. If you have already tried working as a PLA, it is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have competence and experience in work and organizational psychology.

You are goal-oriented, have an easy time collaborating and creating good relationships. Your approach is inclusive, and you enjoy being able to plan and prioritize your work independently. It is important that you have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. We work together and place great emphasis on personal suitability.

A driver's license is an advantage.
